IN THE BEGINNING... there was an idea...then the grinding of gears...then smoke...

*well...not a direct quote, but trust us, we know how his mind works!!


It began prior to the 1993 NFL Season. Mike Barone summoned eight of his favorite targets (aka: suckers and/or victims) to measure the interest in his proposal. Everyone agreed, and thus was born the Taylor Street - Fantasy Football League.

Through the years, the membership has remained intact with the exception of one team owner. In 1996 we voted Mark into the TS-FFL fold (and noting how he's tearing up the standings this year, an impeachment may be in order! ;) ) who replaced Eric Rimmel...personally, I think the real reason Eric left was because we kept calling him "Barry Switzer"!

In perusing the archives, many rules changes have been implemented since 1993...most notable:
Hi! How the hell are ya?! *  Tie breaker for a 1st place won-lost tie for the season implemented in 1994 (Total Points)
*  Defensive shutout scoring implemented in 1995
*  Revamped Playoff matchups implemented in the 1996 season
*  Defensive scoring for offensive yards allowed implemented in the 1996 season (points cap implemented in the 1997 season)
*  Earning four points for exceeding 300 yds for passing PLUS 100 yards for rushing OR 100 yards for receiving OR 150 yards combined rushing and receiving (combined yardage COULD NOT be added to rushing or receiving yardage points > 100 yards) changed to one point for every 75 yards passing PLUS every 25 yards rushing PLUS every 25 yards receiving with no cap implemented in the 1997 season
  *  TS-FFL IR controversy eliminated for the 1997 season
 
The level of inebriation has not been high enough to pass the following:

Hi! How the hell are ya?! 1994: Expansion to ten teams...deadlocked
1996: Expansion to twelve teams or two divisions of eight teams
*  Additional defensive points (sacks, fumbles recovered, INTs)
*  Point(s) subtracted for player throwing INTs or fumbling

Here are the TS-FFL standings at the end of each regular season (my 1993 archive is incomplete...sorry). By the way, Team Numbers listed was/is determined by the draft positions each owner drew prior to the regular season for each year:

As I said, 1993 is incomplete, I remember being tied for first place with Eric Rimmel and bowed to his greatness so I could remain the statistician.
